Calypso and Gator remain still while Gator's shoulders stay flat to the ground. Jefferson examines the situation for a minute, then thumbs towards their direction while looking at Old Man Johnson.

Johnson dives into action by sliding across the floor and checking Gator's shoulders with a flat hand! He counts it!
