Monday Night Madness - 9/30/2013 - Part 3 - Mystica - 10-01-2013

Madness returns from a strange commercial beak.

JOEY STYLES: “Uh…I’m not quite sure what that last ad was all about. No matter. Let’s get back into the Madness! We’re getting in deep here! It’s time to get even deeper. No DQ tag match starts right…now!”

“A Lesson Never Learned” by Asking Alexandria plays.

JOEY STYLES: “Tony Santos, primed for a strange teaming with the European Champion!”

“Paper Planes” by MIA plays

JOEY STYLES: “Huge pop for Luca Arzegotti tonight. Must be that Arizona desert scene. Somethin’ tells me Luca would get along there pretty easily.”

“Comanche” by In This Moment plays.

JOEY STYLES: “The Extreme Revolution has been looking to make an even bigger impact. But judging from the boo’s I hear in the crowd, they’ve made all the impact in the world.”

Tony Santos & Luca Arzegotti
- vs -
Extreme Revolution: Cam Lang & LJ Havok
No DQ

This tag match starts off with Cam Lang and Tony Santos in the ring. Cam Lang has taken it upon himself to bring his own weapon – a Louisville Slugger wooden baseball bat! He twirls it casually about as he and Santos circle one another. Santos seems completely unconcerned by the bat, as he’s got that signature smile beaming across his face. Just as the two are about to rumble—

"John The Revelator" by Curtis Stigers & The Forest Ranger plays.

JOEY STYLES: “What’s this? JTC? Jonathon Thomas Cross has made his presence known here tonight.”

The fans break out in boos before JTC even appears on the stage. Luca and Tony exchange some very confused looks, while Cam Lang and Havok simply grin. JTC rolls out on his motorcycle. Oddly enough, his biker cut is buttoned up – a rather unusual circumstance. He simply sits at the top of the ramp and sets down the kickstop. He’s…here to watch?

Regardless, Cam Lang takes this opportunity to get in a cheap shot with the bat. He swings low, buckling one of Tony’s knees. Looking to follow up, Cam goes for a chop with the bat down onto Tony’s head, but Santos catches the bat with both hands in mid-swing. He rips the bat from Cam Lang’s hands and tosses it aside. This proves no bother to Cam Lang, as he simply switches to fist strikes, battering Santos about the head and shoulders with a barrage of punches, jabs, and hooks. Tony tries to crawl away, but Cam grabs him by the hair and pulls, exposing Tony’s chest in an almost Christ-like parallel. Lang goes to town with open palm slaps to Tony’s chest, leaving giant red marks. Following this, he tosses Tony toward Luca, imploring the champ to indulge him. Luca shakes his head, but nevertheless tags Tony’s hand and steps into the ring.

Cam backs into his corner, where Havok hands him something vaguely metallic. It is only when Cam slips it on that the camera can make out what it is: a pair of brass knuckles! The Extreme Revolution came in armed to the teeth! Luca doesn’t even hesitate, charging Lang and pulling the revolutionist’s legs out from under him. With his back to the mat, all the brass knuckles in the world couldn’t protect Cam from Luca’s ire, as he beats down with open and closed fists, sparing no expense in Lang’s suffering. After a moment, Luca finally dismounts Lang and looks to the entrance ramp. JTC has moved closer, and at this angle, Luca can see that JTC is carrying – his side knife has been snapped open, and he stands about 20 feet from the ring, arms folded, still watching.

Having taken his eyes off Lang, Luca is surprised to see that Havok is the legal man in the ring, and quickly takes a few steps back. LJ seems amused by this and gives a little hand gesture to suggest Luca “bring it on.”

The two lock up in the middle of the ring, and Havok hammers Luca in the face with a knee strike. Luca makes for the corner to recover, but Havok is on him. He charges the corner, only to get an elbow to the face for his troubles. Luca then floors Havok with a missile dropkick. Havok rolls to the outside, but not in friendly territory! Santos leaps off the apron, smacking Havok in the back with a double axe handle. He lobs LJ back into the ring, where Luca is eagerly awaiting him.

Luca catches LJ just behind the ear with a roundhouse kick! Havok goes down, and Luca goes for a pin!

Broken up by Cam Lang! Tony is not one for numbers games, and dives into the ring to even the sides. He catches Lang with a headscissor take down, sending Lang flying! He lands roughly on his back and rolls to the outside. Seeing an opportunity, Santos pulls Havok’s arms back in a full nelson while Luca charges up and rushes forward with a strong left hook! Havok slips out of Santos’s grip, causing Luca to punch Tony upside the head. Tony is knocked aside! LJ slips behind Luca and hits him with three consecutive German suplexes! With Santos reaching his feet, Havok grabs Tony by the hair and tosses him over the top rope toward the entrance ramp…

…where JTC happens to be waiting. As Tony reaches his knees, JTC suddenly hits him with the K.O.K.! JTC smiles wide, and steps back to unbutton his biker cut, revealing…an ER logo t-shirt! JTC has allied himself with the Extreme Revolution!

LJ turns his attention back to Luca, who is trying to get to his feet. As Havok approaches, Luca seems to recall the stipulation, and punches Havok right in the balls! LJ crumples to the mat, allowing Luca to recover. Or so he thinks, as Havok falls in the direction of his corner, tagging in his partner and curling up in the corner as Luca is looking to JTC on the outside. Cam Lang steps into the ring, having just retrieved his baseball bat. He waves it around behind the back of the unaware European Champ. When Luca finally turns, it’s too late!

WHACK!

Once upside the skull! Was that a cracking sound?! Either way, Cam pins!

Luca kicks out! He’s alive!

Cam is pissed! How in the world did Luca even…?

He doesn’t bother with explanations, and instead chooses to prep another skull smash on Arzegotti. Luca reaches his knees, and Lang swings for the fucking fences! Luca ducks, and Cam ends up clipping the head of his own partner! LJ is sent rolling under the ropes, and sprawled out on the outside! Cam Lang swears loudly, turning to finish Luca regardless. But Luca has reached into his trunks and pulled out a small sandwich baggie, containing a fine white powder…

He blows some of the illicit substance into Cam’s face – more importantly, his eyes! Cam fumbles blindly!

On the outside, Santos recovers outside the perception of JTC, who has been too concerned with focusing on Luca to notice. Santos nails JTC with a reverse enzuigiri!

Inside the ring, Luca hits the Get Away Driver on Cam Lang! Santos climbs to the top rope and hits the Tony Award on Cam Lang! Luca with the legal pin!

WINNERS: Tony Santos & Luca Arzegotti
Arzegotti: +3 Points
Santos: +2 Points

As Luca stands, hands held high over his victory, he notices he’s dropped his baggie of the white powder and quickly bends down to retrieve it. But when he leans back up, baggie in hand, he’s met with Santos, who has retrieved Cam Lang’s bat, as he swings it into Luca’s abdomen! Luca falls to his elbows and knees, clutching his stomach. Santos brings the bat down on Luca’s back! The bat cracks right in half, splintering the wood! Santos tosses the pieces aside and stands over Luca in victory, when…

“Oomph!” by Supernova blares out over the speakers!

JOEY STYLES: “It’s Supernova! The TV Champ is here!”

Nova rushes down to save his frenemy, but by the time he actually makes it there, Santos is long gone, having escaped into the crowd. Nova stands over his fallen associate like a sphinx guarding a treasure. But his troubles are only beginning.

“Hunt You Down” by Saliva” plays.

JOEY STYLES: “Shawn Steele! Looks like our main event is starting right now!”

Shawn charges down to the ring and doesn’t even bother waiting for the other competitors or the bell. He tosses himself under the ropes and into the squared circle, where he plants Nova to the mat with a big boot! Luca is rolled out of the ring by Steele!

“Conquistator” by Thirty Seconds to Mars plays.

Radio suddenly appears in the ring behind Steele and hits him with a surprise neckbreaker! He then moves over to Nova and applies a sleeper hold.

“Look At Your Game Girl” by Charles Manson plays.

Casey Jones heads down to the ring, accompanied by one of his more muscular “children,” who remains at ringside as Jones enters the fray.

MAIN EVENT

Mr. Radio

Shawn Steele
- vs -
Casey Jones
Elimination Match

As Jones enters through the ropes, Radio releases his sleeper on Nova, intending to battle against Jones. However, Steele has gotten back up. The three stand, eyeing one another, allowing Nova to also get to his feet. We now have a four-way staredown. Just as it appears the men might start the chaos, they are further interrupted.

”Sick, Sick, Sick” by Queens of the Stone Age plays.

JOEY STYLES: “Oh, no. And here comes the interim GM.”

Rather than offer any means of interference, or even a bit of mic work, Mystica appears to have arrived on the stage to only sip a cup of tea and watch. He points to Casey Jones with a grin – his main pick in hopes of winning.

But maybe Mystica shouldn’t have been poking his nose around in others’ business. Steele, Supernova, and Radio all jump Jones, beating him down and stomping him into the mat. From there, Radio kicks Jones in the gut and hits him with a stunner! Jones, stunned, turns right into a Seeing Stars (RKO) from Supernova. Jones flops over onto his back, only to be finally supplanted with a Sadistic Intent Leg Drop off the top rope from Steele, who covers Jones!

Casey Joes is eliminated!

Seeing Jones eliminated almost immediately, Mystica is absolutely gob-stopped. His mouth hangs agape up on the ramp, and his cup of tea slips from his hand, shattering on the metal below. His entire plot has unraveled in a matter of seconds.

Casey’s “child” steps up on the apron to cause some havoc, but he is stopped by the recovered Luca Arzegotti, who pulls the “child” back to the outside and DDT’s him into the floor! Luca flashes Nova a thumbs up, and drags the “child” up to the ramp, where he also retrieves the unsconscious Casey Jones. With their legs under his arms and European title around his waist, Arzegotti drags the fallen ones up the ramp and right past the still-seething Mystica, to whom Luca gives a smug smirk before dropping Jones and his “child”’s body and disappearing backstage. Mystica sighs and motions for two backstage workers, who drag Casey Jones and the “child” off to the medic.

Back in the ring, the three break off their truce and get down to business, as Radio leaps onto Steele’s back and locks him in a sleepr hold. Nove takes advantage, drop-kicking Steele in the chest, which causes him to backpedal – right into the turnbuckle, squishing Radio!

Radio slumps against the turnbuckle, and Steele staggers out of the corner, and into a DDT from Nova! He covers Steele!

1

Nope! Steele kicks out, tossing Nova completely off of himself. Still at an advantage, Supernova decides to re-focus his attention on Radio. He walks up to Radio, and Irish whips him to the opposite corner, where Radio is victim to a Supernova body splash! Radio stumbles out of the corner from the reverse inertia, while Nova climbs to the top rope. Radio turns, just in time to catch a flying clothesline from Nova! Steele is back to his feet, manages to grapple Nova from behind, and hits him with an Atomic drop. Nova crawls to the ropes for a breather, but Steele runs up and chokes Nova on the middle rope with his foot! Nova gasps as the air is cut off, and Steele lets up after a moment.

As the match continues, back up on the ramp, Mystica’s shock has dwindled. Rather, he has struck his thinking pose: his fingers tented over his lips. Then, something passes his mind, and he eyes the three remaining participants as a wicked smile grows across his mouth.

Steele turns to Radio, who runs at him with a crossbody, but Steele catches him in mid air! Steele drops Radio rib-first across his knee, and, with knee still in place, rolls Radio onto his back for a back stretch, pushing Radio’s head and legs toward the ground. Radio looks like he might snap in half! Steele’s hold is broken up by Supernova, who knocks Steele in the head with a roundhouse kick! Radio rolls away as Steele crumples to the mat, as Nova ascends to the top rope, and nails Steele with a frog splash!

Nova pins!

Steele kicks out! Nova arises from his pin, only to be met by Radio’s spear! Nova flies out of the ring and hits the floor hard! Radio capitalizes on Nova’s work on Steele: as Steele finally makes it to his feet, Radio kicks him in the abdomen, pulls Steele’s head under his arm, and drives Steele’s head into the mat with the Galaxy DDT (Impaler DDT)!

Radio pins!

3!

Shawn Steele is eliminated.

Radio tosses Shawn away and looks to Nova on the outside before diving over the top rope at him! Nova appears to catch Radio, but Radio reverses this into a DDT onto the hard floor! Both men are down for a bit, but Radio manages to get up and roll Nova back inside the ring before the ref can count them out.

JOEY STYLES: “Smart man. Can’t let Nova get counted-out. No title change if he wins via count-out.”

Back inside the ropes, Radio covers Nova!

2

Nove kicks out just in time! He rolls over onto his hands and knees, one hand rubbing the spot of his head that hit the floor. Radio is offering no respite, as he locks Nova in another sleeper hold! For a long while, Nova is choked, until he appears to lose consciousness. The ref lifts his arm to check.

Nova’s arm drops

1!

The ref checks again.

Nova’s arm flops uselessly to the mat

Final check. The ref releases Nova’s arm.

And it’s falling…

Falling…

Stops! Inches from the mat, Nova has asserted his presence in this plane of non-sleep! He raises his fist, and knocks Radio in the face one! Twice! Three times! Radio releases the sleeper hold and backs off, rubbing his jaw, now hurting from those punches. Nova staggers to his feet using the ropes. Radio charges for a clothesline, but Nova ducks under and tosses Radio over the top rope!

But no! Radio maintains his grip on the top rope, and swings back into the ring. Nova is unaware, having turned his back. Radio grabs Nova’s shoulder, and turns him around, only to bring Nova into a fireman’s carry position!

JOEY STYLES: “Here it is! Around the Galaxy! An F-5 incoming!”

Radio parades around the ring with Nova on his shoulders, sucking in the crowd’s collective cheers and boos, before marching to the center of the ring, and spinning Nova off!

But Nova’s reversed it, flipping mid-spin and hitting Radio with a Seeing Stars (RKO)! Nova climbs to his feet and signals for the end! Radio rises, and Nova puts him right back down with a Darkest Light (Cross Rhodes)!

Nova pins!

3!

WINNER: Mr. Supernova
+5 Points

Nova is ecstatic at his title defense! The ref hands him the belt, and Radio, recovering from the damage suffered, is handed his XTreme title. Nova moves to exit the ring – when his theme music is interrupted by Mystica on the mic!

MYSTICA: “A hearty congratulations to my beloved comrade, Mr. Supernova on his title retention. Except for one small thing.”

Nova looks as though he’s expecting the worst, biting his lip to suppress a rage that he is sure is about to be delivered unto him.

MYSTICA: “No, no. Calm down, Nova. This has nothing to do with the TV Title. This has to do with the XTreme title!”

Radio, leaning on the ropes for support, suddenly absorbs all of that latent rage Nova had been experiencing seconds prior.

MYSTICA: “Have you forgotten, Radio? 24/7 rules! And guess who just got pinned? That’s right. Ref, please hand the XTreme Title to its new owner, Mr. Supernova!”

The ref, morally lost, must do as he’s told by authority, he plucks the XTreme Title from Radio and hands it over to Nova, who holds up his two titles in victory.

NEW XTreme Title Holder: Mr. Supernova.

MYSTICA: “Congrats, Nova. Perhaps we can discuss some things over tea?”

SLY: “I’m afraid that tea party will have to take a rain date.”

Sly suddenly emerges from the back, a clipboard in hand. He looks utterly ecstatic as he walks – a little pomp in his step.

SLY: “As much as I hate to interrupt you, Mr. Martin…actually, no. I’m actually very happy to interrupt you. Ahem. In cooperation with the minute keeper at the Administration Network, it is my pleasure to announce that the Administrator Network has elected a Managerial Representative for Madness.”

MYSTICA: “Sorry, Sly. Run that by me in non-prat terms?”

SLY: “Gladly. Due to the Cooperative Coalition Act between this program and the Administrator Network, I’m afraid that, once a Managerial Representative is elected, from that exact moment he or she is appointed onward, all official decisions made by an interim General Manager are rendered null and void.”

MYSTICA: “…and the time this…Managerial Representative was chosen…?”

SLY: “Exactly 3 minutes and 28 seconds ago. Post-Steele elimination, put prior to Radio’s defeat. Meaning, DAVID…that Radio is still the XTreme Champion!”

NEW / STILL Xtreme Title Holder: Mr. Radio.

Radio gives a small fist-pump of victory and snatches his title back from Supernova. He holds it aloft, much in the same fashion Nova had just done, and points up to Mystica threateningly.

SLY: “It’s also my honour to inform you, David, that due to your now-defunct interim title, you are no longer a level 3 security pass holder. Security will be escorting you out of the building. And uh, for anyone wondering…*cough*Radio*cough*…all intruders are escorted out of this arena at exit number 18. Which conveniently opens into a dark alley.”

Radio laughs, having just earned a victory after all. He walks up the ramp toward Mystica. Two security guards retrain Mystica’s arms, and Radio gladly follows them as they drag Mystica, kicking and screaming, backstage.

MYSTICA: “You can’t do this! I’m just a journalist, dammit!”

JOEY STYLES: “Well, looks like Mystica’s foray into management is over! That’s all the time we have for Madness tonight! See you all next week!

Madness fades into black.
