Somewhere, out there, beneath the ring lights.
There's someone daring and getting into fights.
Somewhere, out there, someone's laughing at me.
Saying that I've gone crazy, but they have yet to see.
And even though I know we've never have touched,
It helps to think that I'd love to get punched.
And when they find out punched and touched are a loose rhyme scheme,
They surely will want to team.
Somewhere out there, a friend and a foe exist,
Then we'll be together, in that ring like a cyst.
Sometimes my inner lyricist emerges from those darker days, but I fear it is the only way to test the waters. If in your soul you feel this is for you, then please jump in. The water is fine.
