Alright so here's what I'm thinking...
I run a smaller show that's maybe considered a weekly house show or something like that. Maybe every Tuesday night it goes up.
Each RP has to be 1k or LESS.
RPing is in flip flop format, meaning whoever gets an RP up first has to wait for the opponent to RP before they RP again, and so on... Obviously there'd be some sort of safeguard in place to let you RP again if the opponent is slacking and posts nothing for X amount of time though.
The results will be incredibly short and to the point, nearly 100% plain text, much like previous house shows. Basically the matches will be a summary of what stood out in the match and how it came to its conclusion. If people want to write out their own match or a portion of it to spice things up, they're welcome to do so if they PM me first for approval.
Segments, attacks, etc will be able to be sent to me via PM in the form of an IDEA of what you want to do. I'll reply back as soon as I can letting you know IF it will fit, and if so, you can write it out fully and PM it back to me.
People who do well on this show will obviously be considered to be moving up the ladder just like a regular show. Titles can be on the line when it makes sense for them to be on the line.
Who here would want to take part in a very basic and to the point, FUN show like this? Mainly I want to give people something to do and RP about where they don't have to worry about doing a massive RP, as well as letting everyone have a pretty relaxed outlook since people can't overwhelm each other with RPs due to the flip flop RP rule. Questions and suggestions are welcome as well.

Off the top of my head maybe something around 48 hours with no response from the opponent allows another RP to go up from you. Since they're supposed to be SHORT RPs, it should be rare for someone to go 48 hours without being able to at least get something, even a 500 word RP, up on the boards to give us something to work with. I can write 500 to 1000 words in around 15 minutes and I'm sure most others can do the same or at least come close so this should be an easy format for people to pump out RPs with throughout their week regardless of work and other plans.

The only limit is self imposed by the speed of both competitors exchanging 1k or lower RPs. If you guys are both free all day Friday and online, posting back and forth, go ahead and post back and forth all day as long as you're following the flip flop rule and keeping them short.

Apologies if this is a stupid question Shane but how can I tell how large my RP is as far as this 1k limit? Is there an app for that like the text counter?

Yes just to clarify anytime you see something like 1 or 2k here, we mean the word count.
Yes images and music and all other effects will be welcome in the RPs. Coding will not be considered a part of the word count, meaning the easiest way to count if you're using coding is to preview the RP and copy the text with the coding already activated and hidden.
And lastly, because we'd be allowing all the usual coding and effects, no the RPing would not be done in single threads as replies. They'd each be a new separate thread. That will also encourage other readers and let them know exactly what's waiting to be read, and will allow the RPs to be individually featured in that recent RP table we have at the top of the index.
I'm going to give this a test run and book a card tonight! Booking thread is coming right up.
